Giving you the space to help you grow

Counselling and Outdoor Therapy in Keighley, Oxenhope, Hebden Bridge and surrounding areas

Welcome to Bronte Counselling

My name is Clare Taylor and I am a fully qualified counsellor offering short and long term therapy in Keighley. I see clients in my therapy rooms located in Keighley, Oxenhope and Hebden Bridge, and offer outdoor therapy in areas from Skipton to Hebden Bridge.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and follow their ethical guidelines and principals. I am also fully insured.

About My Practice

I am a relational, integrative counsellor, holding a person-centred approach at my core. This means that our sessions together will be guided by you and your needs and my input is different with each individual client as every client is unique. I have a particular interest in, and extra training around, working with clients who self-harm.

A Safe Space

The relationship between counsellor and client is really important and to help build this relationship I will offer you a safe and confidential space in which you can grow and reach your full potential.

Working With Me

We will be able to explore your feelings together in a way that is genuine and non-judgemental. Get in touch with the contact form below if you have any queries, or you would like to arrange an initial assessment.

Outdoor Therapy

Outdoor therapy is also referred to as ‘Walk and Talk’ however I prefer the term ‘outdoor’ as walking is not an integral part of what we will do. Some clients prefer to sit in a suitable outdoor spot and some will prefer the walking, or we can do both – the choice will be yours. Outdoor therapy can take place at almost any location and this is somewhere that we can agree together however, I can suggest places that may include being near water such as a river, reservoir or canal, or being around trees such as a quiet park or woodland.

Book a Session

Outdoor therapy will go ahead in all weathers, unless it is unsafe to do so, so please dress appropriately. Please get in touch with the contact form below if you have any queries or would like to arrange an initial session.

About Me

I grew up in the Aire and Worth Valley and continue to live, work in, and enjoy these areas now. Growing up in Yorkshire has given me a love of nature and the outdoors and I am now a keen walker and gardener. I appreciate the positive impact that the outdoors has upon our mental health and wellbeing and it is this mindset that has led me to offering outdoor therapy as well as the traditional indoor type.

My initial counselling training took place at The University of Bradford followed by a masters at Leeds Beckett. I am currently volunteering in Calderdale.
